About the Author

Inhale Corsets began in 2006 when Shelly taught herself how to make corsets. She was taught how to sew by her mother at a very early age, and combined that knowledge with her adventurous spirit to take on the (not very easy) task of learning on her own the construction methods of corset making. After making her third or fourth corset, friends started requesting her services, and eventually she realized that this was her niche in life, and started her business. After running her business alone for a couple years, she then joined forces with Meredith Placko (a.k.a. Ana Aesthetic), a well known costumer and designer, to offer the finest quality hand made corsets and clothing at the most reasonable prices possible. They now spend countless hours chained to sewing machines in Shelly’s too small apartment coming up with crazy outfits.
